• Drive by evaluation: Designed for out of state buyers who would like a general opinion of vessels condition before purchasing a full survey. Perfect if you are considering purchasing a boat discussed with a broker, owner or discovered online but do not have an opportunity to view yourself before starting the purchase process.
• Boat Delivery: Captain services are available for vessel delivery along the east coast. If you purchased a boat out of state and need it brought to your port or marina, NYS and its licensed Captains will be happy to bring the vessel to you.
• Boat Orientation: A great way to learn about your new vessel. If you are new to boating and would like NYS to spend additional hours with you on your vessel once you take delivery we would be happy to do so.
• Basic Boating Skills: Docking, tying lines, gps & chart plotters, navigation & local marinas. An NYS Captain will spend time with you and your crew aboard your new vessel both at your port as well as underway. A great way to learn the local waterways, marinas, transient slips and docking.
• Oil Sample Analysis: Samples available for engine and transmissions. Samples are taken and mailed directly to our service partner (Sea-Kits), full reports are typically finished in a 3-5 days.
• Dive Services: Scuba diving services are available. Call to discuss specific needs.
• Boat Management: checking lines, fenders, starting and running engines, generators and systems, inspecting bilge areas etc. (Ideal for busy or out of town owners). NYS will be happy to check on your vessel if you are not able to do it yourself – NYS will inspect your vessel on a schedule that suits you.
