Motor Check has been serving the industry since 1999 and their technicians and lab work always exceeds our expectations. They are an eco-friendly business recycling all sample components.

Oil analysis can help detect and find problems in the engine that otherwise could potentially be missed by even the most highly trained mechanic. NYS will pull a sample from all engines (gas or diesel) towards the end of the in-water portion of the survey while the oil is still hot.

NYS charges $75 per sample and the easy to read oil analysis reports are typically completed in 24-48 hours.

Compression Testing: NYS can perform compression testing on almost all outboard motors. Compression is typically recommended to detect potential valve and cylinder issues prior to purchase. NYS charges $150 per engine for compression testing.
